TeamCamp was founded in 2010, to use summer camps as a vehicle for leadership and team skills development. Since then, TeamCamp has worked with over 3000 students and received outstanding feedback from teachers, parents and students.
TeamCamp applies research and experience to develop soft-skill learning structures. We’re big on teams, and you may read here about our own core team:
Ben Holt, Chairman/Founder
Before founding TeamCamp, Ben worked in Marketing and Technology Sales for over 10 years. Ben completed blue-chip leadership programmes, an MBA from Europe’s top business school (INSEAD), and more recently an NVQ in Playwork. Other passions include philosophy, psychology, and strategy games.
Steve Robertson, Global Managing Director
As a Business entrepreneur Steve has been fortunate enough to be offered the role as Global Managing Director for TeamCamp UK, which is an amazing opportunity for kids to be active whilst exploiting their learning skills on residential and day camps nationally and internationally.
Steve is a qualified personal trainer and also attended university to study Sports Science qualifying in 2000. As well as this Steve is also very passionate about Anatomy & Physiology, human Biomechanics and Injury rehabilitation. Utilising Steve’s skills will aid in developing the company globally and supporting and developing the great team he has working around him.
Ed Peters, Director
Ed Peters graduated with a first in German with French at King’s College, University of London, where he was also a college prize-winner and exhibitioner; he also achieved the Associateship of King’s College (AKC) Diploma. He holds the Diploma in Personal Performance Coaching from The Coaching Academy and is a Chartered Marketer, Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Fellow of the Institute for Direct and Digital Marketing.
He has extensive experience in education as a Director of Marketing or Admissions for several leading UK boarding schools and colleges, as well as broader experience as an educational consultant, with an interest in innovative international projects.
As a qualified coach, he is involved in practical initiatives to promote career coaching and study planning for young people.
As a former Chair of a national schools marketing association, he has extensive experience as a conference speaker and trainer, most recently in Shenzhen, China.
He also has extensive experience of recruiting and supporting international students who want to study at top UK institutions, and his work has taken him to many areas of Western and Eastern Europe, South America and the Far East.
Mervyn Aranha, Director
Alexia Sibthorpe, International Business Consultant and Non-Executive Director
Having worked in the youth, community & events sector for over 20 years. Alexia brings many skills to Team Camp including; BA hons in Youth work, level 3 in youth coaching, CSE specialism, Cambridge TEFL Level 5 qualification, dance leader & manager.
Alexia is a vibrant and passionate worker who has worked up and down the country with 100s of young people enabling and inspiring them to achieve their biggest goals in life through creative and expressive arts alongside specialism and targeted work
Bayley Rio, Project Coordinator and Welfare Officer
Bayley is from an Events and Dance management background with a vast amount of experience with young people. Bayley has gained much experience through travelling to places such as Disneyland Paris and Rome to compete in global dance competitions whilst also mentoring and tutoring other students throughout these processes.
With a Cambridge TEFL Level 5 qualification Bayley also has the capacity to tutor students in English. Bayley is fiercely passionate and dedicated to making the TeamCamp experience one to always remember. Other passions include psychology, sociology and fitness.
I founded TeamCamp to promote the development of team-skills in education. These crucial life-skills are also fun and empowering to learn. Hence our strapline… laugh, learn, & lead.
