Welcome to TeamCamp Educational, the central London day camp for kids, from TeamCamp and Bonas MacFarlane, London's premier tutoring and educational consultancy for 6-12 year olds.
Alongside varied team challenges and fun activities, TeamCamp Educational provides 10 hours of tuition in English, Maths, and Interview skills (per week). These boost general skills for greater confidence, skills, or success in school pre-tests, interviews, and 7/8/11+ examinations.
The tuition is led by qualified teachers, with a staff team that includes Bonas MacFarlane tutors and an overall student-staff ratio of 2½:1. The programme itself has been constructed using Bonas MacFarlane's unique insights into the requirements of top flight schools such as Eton and St.Pauls.
Other activities include yoga, street dance, sports, giant inflatables, and unique team games. Participants also work together in small teams to create their own play that is performed for parents and carers at the end of each week.
TeamCamp Educational takes place in one venue in 2017:
Camden/Regents Park: At the beautiful Danish Church at 5 St Katharine's Precinct, Regent's Park, London NW1 4HH. Dates: Mon 28th – Fri 1st September.
Each week comprises five days Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 4:30pm. Children may arrive any time from 9am and stay until 5pm. To describe the TeamCamp Educational programme, this section is now split into three: the Maths & English skills programme, interview skills programme, and team skills programme.
1. English & Maths Programme
TeamCamp Educational programme for English & Maths helps children get to grips with some of the more challenging aspects of Maths and English for their age-group.
Its goals are to boost children's confidence and ability in their core skills, plus to prepare them for examinations such as school pre-tests and the 7/8/11+ examinations. With these goals in mind, the Maths & English programme is assembled by a team that includes qualified teachers and some of Bonas MacFarlane's most experienced tutors. The delivery itself is led by qualified teachers and supported by Bonas MacFarlane tutors and TeamCamp staff.
In the case of Maths, the course may focus on concepts such as fractions and problem solving (for example). In the case of English, the course will develop the children's creative writing and comprehension skills.
The course includes group exercises and logic games. This, along with the high staff-student ratio of 2½:1, helps ensure the learning is fun.
2. Interview Skills Programme
Interview 'technique' can sometimes come across as obvious and even a little false to interviewers.
Our approach allows children to practice talking about themselves, and to become more confident in so doing. We encourage children to provide reasons for their answers, and engage with their interlocutor in a genuine manner.
3. Team Skills Programme
Improving participants' team skills is a theme running through most of the activities at TeamCamp Educational.
There are also team sports, as well as street dance, yoga, and laser-tag (taking place in a big blow-up maze).
Children's ability to work together through all these activities is enhanced by the presence of Team Mentors. These staff members are trained and selected for their strong people skills. And with group sizes of just four children, each child receives a great deal of focus and support.

Andrew loved it and I thought it was great! You managed to teach them and they had a lot of fun.
Henry very much enjoyed his time at TeamCamp and has been asking when the next TeamCamp would take place.
They absolutely loved it - Maya and Paddy both said they wanted to do it again. For Paddy, the best bit was by far the team activities - he LOVED writing the play and the team attack and all of it was great. He even liked the yoga!
