TeamCamp is often hiring for the following positions based in London, Birmingham, and Manchester, to work during the summer holidays. Available roles are primarily with our summer schools, so in general we are looking for qualified teachers and smart and sparky university undergraduates.
Camp Director: Involves managing all the summer school staff and processes. Candidates must be a qualified teacher and relevant summer camp experience is preferred. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills are required.
Course Leader: Includes the leader-ship of an academic subject area for pupil groups, such as English, Maths or Science. A typical group may be of 12 pupils supported by 3 Team Mentors. Candidates must be a qualified teacher with a flexible and empowering teaching style.
Team Mentor: Involves facilitating small groups of 5 or 6 pupils helping them work together effectively across various activities. We look for candidates with great energy, an infectious sense of fun, and strong interpersonal skills.
For successful candidates, Team Mentor training takes place in early July, while for Camp Directors it is during the end of May half term. Course leaders may attend either. We accept applications all year round. If you are not yet 18 (but aged at least 16) you may instead speak to us about volunteering opportunities.
Feel free also to contact us for further information about roles, including current levels of pay. To apply, please download and complete the one-page application form, and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Working at TeamCamp massively boosts team skills – perfect for assessment centre interviews. As a teacher, it invigorates my passion and has given me crucial management experience. Most of all though, it’s an absolute blast.
